After a period of qualifying legal work experience in civil law and after qualifying as a lawyer, she began working in the field of Children and Families Law with Michela Labriola, with whom she set up Studio Legale Associato Labriola Resta Catalano.
She is a founding member of the Bari Office of the National Observatory on Children and Families Law within which she organises many conferences on children and families law. She currently serves as a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Observatory.
She is also a member of the Family Commission set up at the Bar Association of Bari. In 2019, she obtained the certificate of participation in the "Biennial Course of Advanced Training in Children and Families Law" organised by the Advanced School of Children and Families Law of the National Observatory on Children and Families Law at the University Roma Tre.
